Down That Alley

I’ve heard of a quiet man
He kept his mouth shut and went
To bed with a wounded pride
And then while he slept one night
It died
I’ve heard of a giant bowl
Where they fish out your tiny soul
They argue and place their bets
They wobble their giant heads
And growl
Hey, ho
Now you go
Live, grow
Thrilled? No?
There’s no rules
There’s sheep and wolves
Eyes ahead
It can’t be that bad
So we wriggle like lightning bolts
And we run around shooting volts
And we pick up our charred hearts
That we burry in scattered yards alone
Hey, say
Come, let’s prey
Wait until night
To let them hide
Hearts steer
Scarecrows scare
They won’t get far
We are who we are
